Online Astronomy on Tap – Kingston
Astronomy on Tap is a series of worldwide events in which professional astronomers and scientists give informal talks at a local bar or online (but BYOB!) on topics of a broad interest in astronomy and astrophysics.
This event will be live from Astronomy on Tap Kingston! Our theme for the night is world-class facilities for doing astrophysics and astroparticle physics, with a focus on the James Webb Space Telescope, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory, and SNOLAB. The evening will feature Space News, exciting trivia, and three fantastic scientists: Lamiya Mowla (Toronto/Dunlap), CJ Woodford (McDonald Institute/Queen’s), and Christine Kraus (SNOLAB). We will have lots of time for questions with the audience so check out the live comments!
