Dark Matter: From the WIMP Paradigm to Hidden Sectors – Walter Tangarife, Physics & Astronomy Department, Colgate University

One of the most exciting outstanding puzzles in modern physics is the nature of “dark matter”, which makes up 26% of the energy density of the universe. In this talk, Tangarife will discuss the diverse evidence for dark matter and how particle candidates for dark matter appear in theories of physics beyond the Standard Model.
